Hello all,
I was just wondering how everyone handles tipping when they win a
drawing where the prize is given in freeplay.
Thanks

I wouldn't tip at all for winning any drawing unless they rigged it in your
favor.

I'm not even sure I want to do "drawings" at all. Drawings typically mean a lot of wasted time, signing up, waiting , actually doing the stupid contest, waiting for results, etc. I estimate my time while on a gambling trip to be worth $25/hour. I've relatively done well but feel I've 'wasted' about 100 hours in drawing activity over the last 3 years, and my winnings have been only about $500. I'd be better spending that time playing 10/7 DB at 1% comps ( which was available at many of these places ).
I'd feel really guilty about tipping a sure loser type activity ! Maybe a strategy like, sign up last minute ( no lines ) for contest, show up only for free food, get out quick ?

I remember a Binion's drawing where my name was drawn, but I guess it
wasn't on the approved winners list, and the ticket got
"disqualified". not to worry, I was still getting money every week for
over 2 years even though I think I put in maybe one play there.

How can they disqualify your win?
