I read over this website and it got me thinking (bad idea, I know).
Anyway, if you go to a standard family restaurant and order a typical
$6-7 meal, what do you tip? The 15% standard would come out to around
one dollar. The waitress in this case will make most if not all of
the following trips to your table.
1) Bring menus and possibly water, take drink order.
2) Bring drinks, take food order, return menus.
I'm not even going to consider appetizers.
3) Bring food.
4) Ask if the meal is ok.
I'll skip over dessert too and drink refills
5) Bring check
And, sometimes the following.
6) Collect money
7) Return change
Can anyone explain to me how why you would tip the same amount for a
cup of coffee in a casino?
Of course, maybe I'm just arguing that the waitress really deserves a
larger tip ...

My comparison is leaving my game and walking up to the bar to buy my
own drink. The buck seems cheap in comparison.
