It looks like the tiered system started this month. It is unclear when the 90
days started - probably they will go back 90 days for each month in the
future.
There are subsets to the tiered system as well and it is possible that
mailings are lower than they were before.
Before my husband and I were both Super Hot Shots. Now we are "Hall of
Famer" Before my husband was getting $40 in free play and I got $50. That
remained the same. But before we each got $50 in Spa credit - this time I got $25
and he got nothing. Before we each got 2 tickets to movie (matinee), this time
he got nothing and I got a 2 for 1. Before he had 3 $40 food credits - this
time he got 1 $40. Before I had 3 $50 food credits, this time I got 3 $50.
Before we both got admissions for 2 people to Ghost Bar and Rain, this time the
two passes, he got none. Before we both got 4 car wash tokens, this time I
got 4 and he got none.
Admittedly we both played a bit less over the last 2 months, however I'm
pretty sure we both played over the 50,000$ through in last 90 days needed to get
the Tier award.
I will ask at booth next time I am there way the extras were curtailed. I'd
definitely say that I was still playing more than my husband usually played,
which meant that mine definitely got somewhat cut by the Spa credit reduction
as well as the movie reduction.
It seems to me the Palms would be better off just to honestly say exactly
what you get for 10,000 points, 20,000, 30,000 etc. - similar to the way the
Coast casinos tell you how much you need to get each type of mailing.
