Wait a second, you guys got STAIND and the GOO GOO DOLLS!! I have
not once gotten a single offer for a band that's less than 16 years
old. And I was shocked the one time they gave me the Black Crowes.
Usually I get artists who were all ready old when I was in 1st grade,
like Paul Anka, Tom Jones, or Bowzer's 50's reunion; and the Smothers
Brothers were all ready bald when I was like 4, if I remember right.
I really wanted Gwen Stefani and they wouldn't give it to me even
when they had comp seats left the night of the show.
I have been averaging ~$110 points earned per night. I do get the
majority of the shows I want; but I have to ask for them by calling
VIP services at the same toll-free number. You have the best chance
of getting the show you want by calling very early when you first
hear of it, or very late after they realize they still have seats
left to give. One of my hosts said there were times when he would be
just handing out tickets leftover to people hanging out in the lounge
on the night of a show. But in the past several months with new
directors they have gotten stricter -- raising the lounge
requirement, and requiring minimum standards for comp tickets even
when they have some left -- unlike the past, when you needed almost
no play to get seats if they had them the day of the show.
At ~$60 points earned per night, your probably hovering around the
minimum for comp tickets. It is more important to have heavy days of
play than the number of days of you play. They tend to look at your
average day over the past 4 months, and the past 8 months. Recently,
after not having played any days for 7 months and only 4 days the
month before that, I was still getting concert ticket offers and
every game to the Sun.
