Last year there was a bank of $2 9/6 directly behind
(East) of the $1 9/6 in front of the slot club.
I was at Treasure Island today and specifically looked for
any $1 or $2 9/6 JoB near the slot club. I checked all
banks of machines anywhere near the slot club and didn't
find any $1/$2 9/6 Job. They have installed many new banks
of machines in this area.
Best $2 games at TI are still the two 3/5/10 play
multigames with 9/6 JoB in the high-limit slot room. Best
$1 games are 8/5 Bonus Poker only in the one bank of
multigames a couple of rows outside the high-limit slot
room. These are 1-100 coin machines but are full pay at
5 coins.
While I was there I had lunch in the new TI buffet called
"Dishes" that just opened a few weeks ago. The food
selection, presentation and dining area all reminded me of
the recently renovated Rio Carnival World Buffet, although
this one is considerably smaller.
It's unusual that when you are seated at your table, there
is a plate at each place setting which you are instructed
to take with you to the buffet.
In addition to the usual buffet fare like pizza, salad bar
and Asian foods, they had a sushi bar, made-to-order pasta
and made-to-order composed salads like Chinese chicken
salad.
The desert section had some unusual items. There were
iced cupcakes, cotton candy and freshly-made mini donuts.
Nearby was a self-serve coffee machine with about ten
selections like cappuccino, latte, espresso and hot
chocolate.
I tried the London broil, rotisserie chicken, chicken
quesadilla, Chinese greens and a cinnamon roll. Everything
was delicious or maybe I was just hungry.
The weekday lunch price was $15, about twice the normal
price for a lunch buffet at most of the locals casinos.
Las Vegas was nice and sunny today with a high of 62. The
TI pool was open and several folks were lounging poolside,
but I saw no one actually in the water.
My next stop was the Fashion Show Mall to see their Holiday
Fashion Show and Christmas Show with Santa, snow, dancing
and singing. All were worth seeing if you like that sort
of thing.
