TI Marketing Gets More Aggressive

I got a large envelope in the mail yesterday. It resembled a stock prospectus in size.

SURPRISE - TI marketing has returned in full force.

The packet included a welcome letter from Phil Ruffin, generic f&b stay offer and a calendar of events through the end of October.

The mailing was quite well designed and not the least bit cheap-looking. You could tell some time and money went into it. I guess my expectations have been lowered after receiving Harrahs' Halloween offer with the pop-out ghost a 3rd grader could have better designed.

Anyway, my next move (before packing my bags) was to vpFREE2 to see if there were anything playable at TI.

GASP - nothing better than 8/5 Bonus Poker in the whole casino?

It seems to me that new ownership would try to generate some heavy play in the opening months with perhaps a few great 9/6 Jacks offerings (at least at higher denominations, if not at the $1 and $2 level) plus a good deuces game or two to bring in the crowds.

Apparently, that's not part of their strategy.

Still, somebody must be winning. As in the past, the TI mailing listed a slew of jackpot winners. (I should note that "in the fine print" it says the amounts pertained to the period from Feb. 1, 2009 to April 30, 2009).

For what it's worth, they always list machine numbers next to the jackpot amounts. So, I am posting the info in case a playable game or two might exist on any of the machines. And I really don't think I'm "outing" any hidden plays: the machine numbers are right there in print in the mass mailing for all to see.

Machine numbers cited:
