As in title - those are the 4 places I mainly played in.
As already mentioned in previous posts, inventory has mostly
disappeared at the RP. It is still fairly easy to get comp pts there,
but VIP hosts hands seemed tied (i.e. - not able to issue much beyond
what you've 'earned' via the kiosks and promos).
FPDWs are down to 8 that I could find - all in uprights by KENO area.
4 of the older ones, that still drop coins when you hit 4-2s.
4 of the semi-older ones in GameKings. Those are the only ones NEXT
to each other, all in a row. 2nd one in from the left has a dim screen;
Others are ok (sound off on a few of them, and it took ALOT of asking
just to get the sound turned up slightly on them).
Great Scratch card promo of 3 per day (per 250 pts earned; at $1250 or
1000 hands of single line .25 vp). Avg. was around $3 -- get them
while they last ($2, $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, or $1000)..
$30K total to be given away. My best day was 3 $5 each, or $15 bonus
cash.
Other promos at RP:
Mondays = 650 pts for logo item (pts not deducted, still good for cb
at $1/100 pts, cashout in 500 pt/$5 increments).
NOV logo item is fleece/logo jacket; DEC item is listed as a Fleece
Blanket
Wednesdays: Free 'electronic' kiosk spin, assuming you earned 250 pts
between Mon-Wed. Prizes are fairly small:
100 pts, 200 pts (for $1 or $2 cb value);
$5 or $10 bonus cash OR comps; 2 tickets for the FUSION magic show.
Specialty gift item (NOV item was a ceramic napkin holder, Mrs. Clause).
2 egg/ 2 sausage or bacon/ hashbrown and toast special in cafe for
$2.22; $1 off coupon if 10 pts earned in previous 24 hrs.
Coffee or juice costs $1.50 more.
CB strict .2% and comps is HALF of that. Not exactly the highest on
the river, BUT the prices in the cafe are reasonable and daily $4.99
specials as well. Buffet is barely edible, but also a cheap eating
option. Or just save the pts up for a better meal at the LODGE.
Riverside - Had a great promo of DBL on 4 kinds in JACKS on any vp
machine. A decent number of Bonus Jackpot (Like bonus poker, but pays
only 100 most quads 2-10; 200 for J-Q-K; 400 for Aces, and Faces/Aces
are DBL with kicker Ace or Face).
Ongoing LIVE poker promotions daily.
GN - Still about 11 DDJ machines with the CORRECT payscale on them.
(9-6-5). Aging, though. I estimated about .44 comps and .22 cb,
with their strange 105 coin ($21.25) countdown).
Min. $5 to cashout, but you can cashout in $1 increments after that.
NEW Harlow's Cafe has replaced the former coffeeshop;
some minor upgrades, incl. plasma TV screens.
EW - May be the last standing FPDWs in 12 older upright Multi-game
machines. (the kind that use the 'hold' buttons to change game types).
LIVE poker promotions (for those who care):
I think these are the best:
EW has Aces cracked for $100 from 10-12pm/5-7 pm/ daily.
Also SF jackpots. Min. $20 in pot to qualify.
ALso a 'PINGO' (Poker Bingo card) for certain hands, monthly.
Comps at $1/hourly or 1 meal per day after min. 4-5 hours play.
RE - I played here a lot. Boasts HIGHEST comp rate on the river at
1.25/hourly, and you can accumulate it. They add it daily to your
slot club card. 24 hours promo of Aces/cracked.
You spin a wheel for $50-75-100 or $200 prizes.
Some logo items (shirts/denims, and jackets) also on the prize wheel.
Ongoing $50 bonus for 4ks; $75 for SFs; and $200 for RFs.
both hole cards must play.
Between EW and RE, good for Aces cracked. SF bonuses higher at EW for
a limit 2/4 game, in addition to the Poker-Bingo bonus card.
Harrah's has similar prog. bonuses for 4Ks and higher; however, limit
is 3/6 and higher. Strange daily promos like Club fl with a 2 wins
$50. Aces cracked on Tues; Ks cracked on Thurs, etc.
Overall - I enjoyed playing poker (live) best at the Edgewater and RE.
Have played Riverside in the past, and might do so in the future.
During FBall season, best to play from Tues- Mon, as there are
incentives to play during MNF (earned poker squares).
