Thoughts on Lake Las Vegas

Right. Ironically, Lake Las Vegas might do better if it was even farther away, say, on the other side of Lake Mead, in Arizona. LLV is nothing like Vegas, and people looking for a mellow, non-gaming vacation will never find it.

Lake Las Vegas has three main problems:

1) Location
2) Location
3) Location

It's hard enough to get tourists to work up any interest in a property one
block from the Strip, let alone in some far away unknown miles to the east
unreachable by freeway.
Remember the great Resort at Summerlin? Five star this and five star that,
but nobody came. They all stayed at Bellagio instead.

Visitors won't even visit a shiny new property right under their noses if
it's not convenient. South Point stood by and watched thousands drive by on
I-15 everyday in both directions, but without a freeway exit they just kept
on driving.
