The CalNeva at Crystal Bay has been really suffering. I stopped in a few weeks ago, and they are putting in a few machines which is a step in the right direction as there was no casino at all before. The hotel only had a few guest as the parking area was deserted. The restaurant was not open when I was there, but I think they have very limited hours. Last summer the pool was all green due to neglect. If you can affort it, the Hyatt Regency at Incline Village is a much nicer place to stay.

I am thinking of staying a couple of nights in July at the Cal Neva Resort on Lake Tahoe and wondered if anyone has been there recently and would recommend it. I have looked on their website and it seems nice enough. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
