Those Penny Slots Got to Go

Hi Mel,

The response you got on the .01 slots is interesting. I do see alot of people playing nickels at 8 or 9 a hand. My host never responded to my e-mail. In my opinion it's gotten very tough getting a machine at the bartops. I guess it means more trips to Vegas, Tahoe and I maybe Tunica.

Have fun New Years. Let me know how the part is and how crowed it is. We'll be heading to Vegas, getting back on the 31st for a quiet New Years.

I have had the same conversation with several suits about 2 months
ago about the same issue. Their response was that the penny slots
are one of their most profitable games and they have no intention of
changing that. My host told me that many people who are playing the
pennines wind up playing about $1 per hand and the house advantage
is really big. That is the reason that the VP bartops have a high
theo. They are designated penny slots in there calculations.

New Years goes. We also cannot find bartop on weekend aft and
evening so in the last year our strategy is to go on a Thurs nite
after work and stay till noon on Fiday or go real early on Friday
and sleep over and play till noon on sat. In the morn. it is easy to
find a seat. We never stay sat night unless there is a show we
really want to see.
