Hi. I'm new to this group and have a few questions. I've just moved to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and so far have not heard of anywhere to play around here. Can anyone help? If there is not, would new orleans be the closest and is there anything worth playing there? Thank you.

I live about 2 hours east of you and play in Shreveport/Bossier City quite often. There are 5 riverboat casinos there (2 in Shreveport and 3 in Bossier). For more information about them, go to

The video poker in the area leaves something to be desired, but there are a few -- a very, very few -- decent games to be found. Unfortunately, it appears that things have taken a turn for the worse recently. The Horseshoe removed its bank of 9/6 Jacks or Better machines about 2 months ago, and Boomtown removed its bank of Pick'em machines less than 2 or 3 weeks ago.
