My March mailer from Gold Coast was much less than expected.
Just spoke to Terri, the Gold Coast club manager.who informed me that mailers are no longer based on coin in for the last 30 day period but on type of machine, theoretical, win/loss, time, etc, etc.

So effectively you won't have a clue.

Mine was much less as well. I was going to ask the next time I played
there...but this explains it, as 99% of my play is on the NSUD.

Hi tom, I got cut even more. You can never be sure what day is included
in which month , a CRAZY system, and I hit a royal and a set in a one
hour play BEFORE dinner one day and left after dinner so I got
punished, lol. 1/9- 2/8 was the last ,month ,go figure ???

Does anyone know if they have the capacity to determine which game you
played on a mg/md machine, or is theo based on the average for the
machine?

There are a very few slot tracking systems used in the US. IGT owns Advantage (originally called ACRES), Aristocrat owns Oasis, Bally owns SDS and ACSC. There is 1 other system used in a few Indian casinos.

These systems track all the activity of the machines, including accounting and player tracking (among other things). There is little difference to the players except that I am reliably informed (although haven't seen it myself) that the newest release of Oasis can tell which game a player is playing in a MG/MD machine. Also, ACSC and the modified version of ACRES that Station uses give old-fashioned non-windows character based screens to the players' club and slows their productivity.

Thanks, Bill. I didn't know any of that.

So, if playing on an IGT video poker machine, Your personnel theo on that machine would be the value set by 'Advantage' for the average of all VP games on that particular machine?

Does that mean, if playing Jacks or Better on a MG machine that has 10/7 Double Bonus on it, your theo loss would be less than if you played on a MG machine that has JOB as it's best game?

Thanks,
Mike

Probably, but not certainly. There are a couple of different ways they can calculate the average theoretical win on a given game. It depends on how sophisticated the management and analysts are. But the whole industry is still very primitive when it comes to MG/MD machines.
