Thinking of leaving MSS for Plaza, help me decide

I've been staying and playing at Main Street Station (MSS) for over a decade. My typical play is $7000 - $10,000 per day on the bartops. I'm disappointed in the recent cuts in offers by Boyd, and the quality of beer, food, and service has dropped IMO. I'm more disappointed that friends of mine who give half my play are getting better offers than I am (and play the same games I am).

The announcement of the new full pay games at the Plaza, along with the recent remodel, has me considering moving my play.

I know some casinos want you to establish 2 or 3 trips of consistent play before sending offers. I don't want to give all my play to Plaza this trip and then stuck with no offers from Plaza or MSS next year (I go annually). I'm also concerned if I only play Plaza's best games I won't get offers (not over 100% return games, just looking at Full pay Bonus Deluxe on the bartops)

I'm happy with 3 - 4 nights comped with a little food thrown my way.

Anyone have advice?

On your next 4 day trip, give MSS 3 days of your normal play and on the 4th day give the plaza 1 day of your normal play and see what happens. If you're worried about not getting the same level of offers from MSS, give them a little more play on the days that you play there so that your total play remains the same. Most casinos will send you an offer after one good day of play. The Boyd properties want multiple trips before you start getting extras from the hosts, like Silver and Gold cards and extra food comps, but their mailers come after only one trip as a rule.

Another option would be to book one day at the Plaza and after giving them a day's play see what the host will comp off. I'd be extremely surprised if they didn't at least comp your room at 7 - 10k of play on non 100% machines. If you go this route make sure you book directly with the hotel and charge all meals to your room.

Play less at that casino and more at others. I know it doesn't make business sense that casinos penalize customers for playing more, but it is what it is, don't blame the player, blame the system. I guess they must be thinking that if you play over a certain amount you must be one of those evil "ADVANTAGE PLAYERS" or that you are addicted and will play for smaller offers so why should they give you more? Also, you mentioned drinking, how much are you drinking? You know they keep track of that, they're on to the evil "ADVANTAGE ALCOHOLICS". You should be constantly testing to find the minimum amount of play needed to get what you want. If you want to play more, play at another casino, it's not like there's a shortage of casinos. Another trick is to have multiple cards (husband, wife, kids, nannys, poolboys, pets, whatever ...) and to put the minimum play on each card.

I share your thoughts too. I hate the fact that I can't get my favorite steak sandwich anymore at 777 since they took it off the menu.

However between Plaza and MSS? The big difference is the service. MSS staff are always nice and friendly. Plaza staff, let's just say not so much. Don't do it, I think you'll regret it.

Plaza advertised "will match any other club level " e-mail them and tell them what teir level you are ,what you are now getting , what you want , should get what you want

I have done this for other casinos with good results.
