Things to see in Tahoe

Will be going to a N Y E party at Harrahs. I know that all my time will not be in the casino (for various reasons). With it being winter, just what is there to do besides ski? I tried to find stuff in online newspapers but no help. Thanks

Downtown Reno has a fabulous outdoor skating ring which I believe is open from Mid December to Mid March.
Its across the street from Sienna

Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe also has skating. Bruka Theater in Downtown Reno may have a production going. Eldorado Casino Showroom also has very good produtions. If you are not skiers, you might enjoy taking a snowmobile tour. There is a very nice one out of Zephyr Cove (will pick you up at Harrah's). There are also boat rides (either Harrah's Yacht if it is running or on one of the paddle wheel boats).

...another alternative to skiing in the winter that many folks enjoy, is the horse-drawn sleigh rides at Tahoe - makes for a romantic date, or a fun way to bring in the holiday spirit with friends or family. http://www.laketahoecarriageride.com/

Holiday Cheers everyone, and a "royal" New Year
