They'll soon be labeling machines as NSU

Just got a PR flyer via email from the Palms announcing
"Not So Ugly Deuces are Back" - in the high roller room.

Today I looked for these NSU deuces that have returned to the Palms high limit room.

There are three slant-tops with single-line $1/$2/$5 and six uprights with $1/$2/$5 3/5 play. They used to also have $10 3/5 plays and $10/$25 single-line NSU.

I'll report these to vpFREE2 for the database.

The Palms has a new promotion starting today through 8/28 called Video Poker Challenge. It looks like the Pick 6 game that Ellis Island has had for awhile. The line was long this afternoon at the two swipe machines for it near the food court.

Speaking of Ellis Island, they have installed a ticket redemption machine. They are the last casino I know of to do this. The maximum ticket amount is $500.

May this start a NSU return trend, with the monkey see, monkey do casino managers.

Just keep in mind that the monkey may not do it for very long and then quickly go back to his old ways.

Wynn added several NSUD last year. It only lasted a matter of weeks. And by the time I planned my trip and got there all were downgraded right back to 25-15-9-4-4 or worse.

Vegas locals are far better able to take advantage of these sometime short-term opportunities. Networking here and with friends as often as possible will greatly enhance your chances.

You're better off scouting and finding the plays yourself, and playing them in ways that don't draw attention. It's the "networking" and "team play" that kills off plays.

Very very true. Within the last year I found a casino mistake $1 FPDW Five Play machine. I told no one where it was and played it only periodically myself. The play lasted for about six months after I found it.

Yeah, and the multilines were gone within 72 hours of them being announced on VPFree.

There was also a little something at Encore, until someone hit a home run on it...the equivalent of being dealt a royal. That one got pulled a few weeks later, too. Somehow, no one mentioned that one here. (wonder why?)

Now that it's gone would you satisfy the curiosity as to what it was?
