I think the purpose or use of the board differs from locals to visitors. I'm
not looking for the single best machine in Vegas. As a visitor, I want to know
where can I find 9/6 JOB, 8/5 BP and 10/7 DB, with decent rooms, good
restaurants and reasonable comps with cash back. Which locations offer the most
activities, which are family appropriate and when are the best times to visit. I
view Las Vegas as a fun vacation where I have a chance to come back a winner.
I have however substantially reduced my visits to Vegas because of the
availability of other vacation destinations with decent VP. With each trip, I've
tried to share the information so that someone else thinking of visiting the area
could have some info on the choices available so they can make a decision
based on their own preferences. I have also benefited tremendously in making
decisions based on what has posted to this and other VP sites.
For example, in my opinion:
The Grand in Gulfport: One of the best family getaways during spring and fall
staying at the Oasis, with FP VP. I would have never heard of it without some
of the posts to this site.
Fallsview Niagara: Great vacation spot. Gorgeous views of the Falls. FP
pickem on the high end. I would have never known it was opening with the posts
here.
Reno: In my opinion the best VP. I would have never tried it without the VP
posts.
AC: The only AC Casino with FP triple play in $. Best comp info
I appreciate the info that is posted here and hope that people will continue
to share info on the VP plays and other relevant information regarding the
different gaming destinations. For my part, I will continue to post info on my
experience as I hopefully get to visit every one of them.

While Vegas clearly has more machines and tables than any other locale
in the country, they also have by far the most expert players. And
they're not all locals. Virtually every one of us on these bulletin
boards frequents Vegas.
