"The Video Poker Edge"

I also wanted to say that I bought Linda Boyd's book "The Video Poker
Edge" and have found it very informative and useful. I think the book
is good for a beginning player as well as for someone that has been
playing for awhile.

First, I want to thank Vicki for buying my book "The Video Poker Edge" and for taking the time to comment. As Vicki says, my book was written for both beginners and seasoned players. I included the strategy cards for the 8 games I recommend --free with the book--so that players could use them within a casino. Even though I wrote curriculum professionally, it was very difficult to create cards appropriate for casino use. (I eliminated many lines and did not use abbreviations--I also include both penalty cards and exceptions for the 8 games.) My cards are very different from the others.

Thanks for all the information you put on
this forum daily.

I, too, appreciate this outstanding forum--I learn a lot from reading the posts. The many links provided by vpFREE are invaluable to anybody either playing locally or headed for Nevada. The Administrator does an amazing job of maintaining/updating the many data bases plus part-time refereeing.

"The new book How to Beat Internet Casinos & Poker Rooms by Arnold
Snyder tells you how to gamble for profit on the Net better than any
we've seen to date. In fact, Snyder's coverage of depositing,
analyzing different bonuses and wagering requirements, and cashing out
the money is so good, current pros making money on the Web have
expressed dissatisfaction over its existence. And it's comprehensive,
covering opportunities for both casino play and poker (and the
explanation of how various bonuses function can be applied easily to
sports books)."

Snyder has a great reputation in the BJ world...with various ways to
get the money...card counting, shuffle tracking, special count for the
high/low side bet...I would think its worth checking out.
