This won't last a day if they realize what they're doing to
themselves:

Finish with a losing hand that contains 4 to a royal and get a 100-
coin bonus. Hand must be a LOSER (i.e. AKQJ hearts, J clubs is a
push, so no 100 coins). This is worth all by itself a little over
2%, and this can be pushed upwards with strategy adjustments.
Supposedly good on all machines up to dollar denoms. I WISH LVA had
kept their flippin' mouth shut---now the pros will swarm, and kill
the promotion.

Side note: When playing this promo, what's the proper play when
dealt AKQJ of spades, 3 of hearts? (9/6 JOB)

8 flushes +6 bets
4 straights +4 bets
16 hi pairs +1 bet
18 losers +20 bets
800+48+16+16+360 = 1240

OR
Hold all five cards!!!!
47 x 20 = 960 (EV=20)

EV of four card royal draw (fifth card is useless) 1240/47 or >26.

Conclusion is correct but here are the right numbers:

47 unique draws
1 royal +800 bets
8 flushes +6 bets
3 straights +3 bets (one ten is the royal)
12 hi pairs +1 bet
23 losers +20 bets
800+48+9+12+460 = 1329
OR
Hold all five cards!!!!
47 x 20 = 940 (EV=20)

EV of four card royal draw (fifth card is useless) 1329/47 or >28

Agree with sentiments on LVA announcement. However, hrly won't be as
lucrative since everyone will be waiting half-hr or more for hand pays (not
kidding).

I had forgotten about the fact that four of the possible high

cards were already in the hand, and that one of the tens was gone
for the royal (duh). Your straight number should be 3x +4 however,
for a total of 1332.

Just checking for EV of AKQ10:
1 royal
8 flushes
3 straights
9 high pairs
26 losers
800+48+12+9+520=1389 0r >29
(equivalent are AKJ10, AQJ10)

KQJ10:
1 royal
1 straight flush
7 flushes
6 straights
9 high pairs
23 losers
800+50+42+24+9+460=1385, also >29

And I assume if you want a SECOND handpay that doesn't take even
longer, you will have to slip a tip on the first one. This MIGHT be
overcome by playing multigamers and switching games (even to a lower
EV game since it will almost certainly still be positive) while you
are waiting for a) the hand to be acknowledged and b) the hand to be
paid. This has worked in the past in other casinos that have "card
of the day", etc.

I intend to give a full report on "fun Monday", and I predict that
this promo will last two shifts, maybe three. Mostly because of the
snotty attitude of the scumbag "pros" who have been hiding under
rocks for months, waiting for something like this to appear. They
will act arrogant and peremptory with the slot change people, bully
and terrorize the porters and cocktail servers, be demanding and
surly with the slot floorpeople, and generally make themselves about
as welcome as an Ebola outbreak.
