The sound of crickets....

I think the vpf2 numbers are correct. That said, there was some sort of pro-rating and extrapolation going on last year. My host could not explain it... but, if you managed to get enough play in before they switched over to the new system (but not enough for King or higher in new system) you may have got King+ status anyway. I think the decision was made by extrapolating your CI per visit on last few months of old program. My sense is that a series of visits with high CI (at some point in the year) will still get you King (for the rest of year)... but I haven't seen that policy written anywhere. Likewise, I was told (mulitple times!) that win/lose $5K in 1 visit will get the lounge (for that visit), and that if you do that a couple of times, and you wil get king too-- regardless of CI. YMMV

Anyone know how Poker room play gets mixed in with other gambling? Does playing only live poker "trigger" a trip? Is accounting done daily (or visit/trip based) at FW ?

I'm sure the top levels get significantly higher weekly FSP than the $100 I get as a King, they do get incrementally nicer giveaways. But King gets VIP checkin, lounge access, and all the other amenities that work for me.

Hi Guru,
Nice to hear from you again. According to VPF2, King would require $750K coin per yr. Still higher than AC casinos for what seems to be the same amenities. However with FW being much closer to your home, for you its a no brainer. It would seem that you made the prudent move in not seeking the much higher coin-in reqs. for the two upper tiers.
At this point, with FW being equidistant from me as AC( although less tolls), and no perceptible improvment in offerings I'll stay with my Jersey travels.
