The Soothing Sound of Knowledge

Greetings again, all you nimble VP players out there! Ever since I began thinking about going to Vegas to try my so-called "luck" on positive-expectation machines, I've come across bad news, then good news and on and on. Only by having my posts here responded to (all proper grammar aside, mind you) has much of the bad news disappeared. And for that, I thank those who were kind enough to respond!

  Besides that, I want to ask you another question, if I may.
  Until just a few days ago, I had limited myself to Deuces Wild practice. I then decided it'd be in my best interests to learn JOB. Throughout my first round of play, I was thinking in more of a DW state-of-mind. Do any of you ever get your strategies confused or are they clearly separated in your mind? [I'm not overly concerned about this, just a passing curiosity, you might say] I assume I'll be able to do this separation the longer I play, but you never know! (`;

     Happy gaming to all, and to all a good
               royal flush!

Thanks for putting up with the newbie ?s..

When I started learning VP strategies two years ago, going from a
jacks or better based game to a wild card based game (or vice versa)
messed me up pretty good. In time that does pass, and after a few
months (or more depending on how fast you grasp the differences) you
get better. Some people are better at switching from game to game,
but I think you are on the right track by learning one at a time. It
is also good to learn JoB because it is easily found in most LV
casinos and you can apply that strategy to Bonus poker (which is also
easily found) without losing much EV. -Russ
