Video Poker Player Hits Eleven Jackpots in One DayRENO, Nev., March 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siena Hotel Spa Casino in Reno, NV announced today that one winner hit eleven jackpots in one day. The lucky Californian from Nevada City won a total of $20,000 on various Double, Double Bonus and Spin Poker Machines after hitting a wide range of combination payouts. "My husband and I love the new Siena," said the jackpot winner. "They have great machines, the food is amazing and their hospitality always makes us feel at home!"The new Siena is quickly becoming Reno's resort of choice for Northern Californians due to their player perks and promotion payouts. Sacramento and San Francisco residents seem to gravitate to the upscale, intimate atmosphere of the new Siena. The Siena gives multiple incentives for new players, making the Siena the place to play. New players can become Siena Rewards Members with quick sign up and be awarded the equivalent level of
players' status earned at other properties instantly. Normally, at other casinos, new players would have to spend months and months building up their player level but the Siena's unique Instant Upgrade program allows players to advance the moment they signup.

What a ridiculous press release. If the player hit 4 or 5 single line Royals in one day I might be impressed. I can play multi-line machines and win various jackpots totaling $20K any day I decide go gambling. Any player playing $5 dollar multi-line is going to hit $20K worth of jackpots if they have just average luck on 4 of kinds.

Siena is a joke.
SURE it's a nice place..but it's full of vagrant/derelicts.
When Barney owned it, a friend and I basically LIVED in the hotel (as platinum members)...but since it closed/reopened, we have only set foot in it a few times, to get our cards matched to Double-Diamond.
The rooms are nice...however, they have NO promotions/events worth anything...
Although I will say that a great host, Bob Spencer, works there...

I used to play a bit of $5 triple play DDB (10/6/40) when it was available at a local casino. I once had a 10 jackpot session with total of $21,950 in W2-Gs. Net session win was $11,025. I didn't get any press release LOL. Also had a session with a quad drought that drained me of nearly $9K.

It is a nice little place though. Fewer vagrants then Cal-Neva!

I guess what makes it news is that they didn't get 86'd like they would at other Reno casinos. Maybe they had to agree to the publicity in exchange for not getting 86'd? The responses sound kind of canned. And they probably did downgrade the games they were playing, the release didn't mention that.

No need to downgrade. The casino's are gamblers also. Swings come with the territory, sometimes good and sometimes bad.
If Siena downgrades, the word gets out and gamblers would rightly say that Siena is a stiff. If they keep the same pay tables
gamblers think Siena gets crushed, same games available, they can be crushed again, this is the place for me!!!

I've often seen downgrades day after after big wins. Venetian,
Bellagio, Rampart.

Recently there was a downgrade at Cache Creek (near San Francisco) due
to a poorly designed promotion.
On weekends, every $1,200 that day earned a drawing ticket towards
five(?) $5,000 prizes.

One guy hammered a bank of three $10 Joker 99.92% video poker machines
(CA doesn't allow >100% video poker) all day Sat & Sun.
He earned enough tickets to win about half of the $5,000 prizes.

After that weekend, the Joker was downgraded 1%, leaving NSU Deuces as
the highest-paying (99.73%) video poker.
The guy never came back for the promotion on following weekends.
