the situation. You told the guy to worry about his own forum. Relevant

Everytime someone makes a point you disagree with, their logic escapes
you. Let me break it down. You spend wayyyy too much time responding
to every single post that criticizes you. On the VPFree forums, you're
a "public figure." To compare to a public figure from the sports
world, think about what Joe Torre's life would be like if he called
every NY sportswriter that second-guessed one of his managerial
decisions. By entering the fray EVERY time you're criticized, you
appear defensive and you open yourself up for further criticism. If
you're as confident that you're doing things right as you say you are,
just do it and let it stand on its own.
You can easily put me back into lurking mode by being so thin-skinned.
But you'll fail to find the logic in that statement, probably. I fail
to find the relevant input and information in your response to me.
