I thought some might find this useful.
In 2005 after not playing for a long time at the Pep (long enough that
my offers stopped,) I played 10 coin quarter FPDW one afternoon and
lost just over 10% with 4K coin in. After that I began to receive
free (not comped) night offers and over $100FP. In 2006 I stayed
there once for 2 free nights and lost over 10% on a little over 3K
coin in per day. I played a mix of 3 play quarter 9/6DDB and 50 cent
10/6 DDB and now my offers include 2 comped suite nights Su-Th plus
FP. The free regular tower rooms offers keep coming too. I have no
proof but I suspect if I had won on these trips my offers would not be
nearly so good.
