It's pretty well marked how to make your way through ESTL to get to the casino. But the advice I give to anyone who asks is that your first visit to the Casino Queen should be during daylight hours, so you get to know the route. Or, let someone drive who's been there before.

It IS a nasty, nasty area. Not a casino for visitors to visit after
dark if they are not familar with the area. One wrong turn and you'll
be in an are you do NOT want to be in. It's clearly marked how to get
to the Queen off the Interstate, but still....
There have been numerous robberies in their parking lot and a few
patrons have even been followed home and robbed.
My understanding is that East St Louis IS more unsafe than almost
anywhere
else in the country!

This happened at the Casino Queen in East St. Louis Illinois. I
hesitated
to
give the casino name because I believe this was an isolated
incident and I
did not want to give credence to the idea that East. St. Louis is
more
unsafe
than elsewhere.
