Visitors may want to try some alternatives to "The Deuce" double decker
buses. Every day they seem to be more crowded, and today we had very bad luck
with several full buses, no buses, etc. The summertime heat may be putting
more of these out of service.
Alternatives: Monorail - $5 but only $1 for locals.
Shuttle buses. We sometimes take the Palms shuttle to Forum Shops or
Fashion Show Mall. It is every 2 hrs like 8:30 am, 10:30, 12:30, 2:30, 4:30, 6:30
from Palms(schedule available at bell desk).
Taxis.
Strip Trolley.
Feet combined with small shuttles such as TI to Mirage; Mandalay Bay/Luxor
to Excalibur; Rio to Harrahs or Caesars or Ballys; Gold
Coast/Orleans/Barbary free shuttle. Palace Station to Fashion Show Mall.
Also to make it easier if you do use the Deuce -- don't go during rush hour.
Have correct change/bus passes out and ready. Go upstairs to clear more
room inside and encourage others to do so.
