The Allure of Showboat (Was: Resorts Atlantic city promotion)

I played at the Showboat this past week and played the 9/6 JOB. Thanks for tip. However, I found the showboat to be extremely loud. Piped music, live music, searching for people over the intercom, security working around with walk-talkies. I began to think the security folks with walk talkies were a little much as they were walking around VP machines and every time my machine would blink. It was unreal. Also, I asked a question at the front desk about the rooms and I literally could not hear the answer, the music was so loud. Is this normal or just an off night?
Now, a lady next to me told me the VP at TP is better. Is this so?
The buffet at Trump TM was outstanding. Lots of room to get your food. My husband was very impressed with the hotel. I did not get to play there as I was headed for the Showboat. What are the room and VP like at Taj Mahal? Thanks,
A beginner-

If you consider the Showboat to be quite loud, what do you think of the
Borgata?

I find their Power prize Jackpot announcements, which they repeat
almost every five minutes positively deafening.

Noise seems to be a general problem with all the casinoes (but only
next to smoking, as far as I am concerned), over and above the machine
noise. At least the noise of coins going in and out of the machines is
somewhat reduced by the TITO machines.

Taj Mahal Buffett is well laid out, giving access to several people at
the same time. In comparison, the Buffett at Resorts makes it difficult
to get what you want without a lot of wasted time. The line at the
entrance itself is a big bottleneck.

The problem at Showboat is that when playing in the House of Blues
(where the good machines are), the music on the main floor competes
with the HOB music, producing an absolutely insane mix.

As far as Borgata goes, no doubt it gets loud on a Saturday night.
But I'm the only one I know that wishes the music were louder. I can
deal with loud music -- frankly, when the tunes are good I find play a
joy. But the raucous casino noise drowns it out on weekends and after
a couple of hours I'm at my wit's end.
