That Unbelievable Session

I finally had **that unbelievable session** on my recent trip to Reno.

I was in Reno for the USBC Nationals Bowling Tournament and stayed at Harrah's. I dropped into Circus Circus to gamble here and there because I just don't feel lucky at Harrah's anymore. Also, bonus reward credits on slots and video poker were lacking at Harrah's Reno. Some VP gave no bonus RC and others were 1 to 4. Slots were about 1 to 2 for bonus RC to base credit ratio.

On Saturday, I hit a $1650 $0.25 DDB progressive at Circus Circus. That was unexpected and nice for the first day. I held JAQT of spades and filled in the K.

On Monday, I headed back to Circus Circus at about 4:00 p.m. to try my luck before meeting my friends for dinner at 6 p.m. I sat down at a slant top with $.05 to $2 (?) denominations and 1 to 20 coins. I played 8/5 BP at the $0.50 level. Within about 20 minutes (at 4:18 p.m.), I held AK of hearts and in came the QTJ. $2000 jackpot! I was excited because I had never had a 2-royal trip before and now had broken that record.

After my payout was complete (approx. 15 minutes?), I started playing again on the same machine, held the QTA of spades and in came the KJ for another $2000! This happened at 4:50 p.m. So now I not only had a 3-royal trip, but I had two within 30 minutes of each other (about 10 minutes of play), and only a few hands in between.

After my payout was complete (approx. 10 minutes because they knew me this time) I began playing, but I switched to 10 coins because I was up quite a bit. Guess what, I held QKTA of spades and in came the J! $4000 jackpot! This happened at 5:07 p.m. I had only put 66 points on my card since the last royal (132 hands). I was beside myself and almost passed out! Now I had a 4-royal trip and 3 of them happened within 50 minutes of each other on a single-line machine!

This is truly one for the record books! I know this is highly unlikely to happen again to me in the future, but I will have a story to tell for the rest of my life! I couldn't sleep that night because I was so excited. It was truly unbelievable!!! I'm still excited today to think about it.

When I hit the second royal of the three, I couldn't get a slot attendant to come over for a few minutes. I asked the cocktail waitress to call one over if she saw one. I caught the slot attendant myself shortly after she left and got paid. I hit the final royal a few minutes later and the cocktail waitress came up to me and stated, "I called them 20 minutes ago, they haven't shown up yet???" I explained to her that yes, they had shown up and this was in fact another royal. We were both beside ourselves.

Wow! Congratulations! That is quite a story to tell!

Awesome. Some day I hope to have a similar session.

I was playing blackjack with a lady whose cousin hit a royal that day - It was his 21st birthday. Wonder how many people have done that?

WOW!!! Well, that topped my gf's two dealt royals in 30 minutes on New Years Day! Who has any idea of the odds on your streak? Well, it's all about the bucks, right? Congrats...it just shows ya that you never know what might happen...

I was at an Indian casino which had 3/5 plays of 8/5 BP and a young lady sat down next to me. She said it was her 21st birthday and she wanted to play video poker, but did not know how. She put in a $20, bet 5 quarters and on the third hand was dealt a royal flush in diamonds for $3,000! She got on her cell phone immediately and her parents and several friends who had accompanied her to the casino materialized in a heart beat.

This wasn't video poker, but at the card club I was going to at the time a kid came in on his 21st birthday to play some no-limit poker.

He was dealt pocket 3's - and the flop was the other two 3's plus one Ace. You guessed it, the other player had pocket Aces and ended up turning four Aces. So this kid was all bummed when he realized he had been beaten on the hand since he had put all of his money in....little did he realize at that moment what had actually happened! His four of a kind was beaten by a higher four of a kind, so he won the Bad Beat Jackpot, which at that time was $160,000.00!!

What a 21st birthday present!
