Thanks to all for the discussion on MS 5-play

Thank you to all who responded and for the discussion that has
followed. Despite the warnings to flat out not play or to not
approach them without a brinks truck in tow, I probably will sidle up
and with my woefully inadequate bankroll, donate to Caesars latest
building project. Life is too short not to go for the thrill, be it
ever so brief (the thrill, I mean). I am somewhat taken aback by the
reports of the play these machines are getting at CP. If the ER is
negative even with CB, why bother playing them at all? As a visitor,
I will play just for passing entertainment but there is no incentive
beyond that. Just a diversion from more serious VP pursuits
elsewhere.

Just wondering....

And, according to some reports, if you are lucky enough, you might need a
Brinks truck to haul away all of your winnings. :wink:

We get invited to a lot of tournaments there plus other promotions and events - many of these have very good equity that makes this an over-100% play.

Some out-of-towners may be willing to play a slightly negative game to get a high level of comps. This is fine and I don't discourage this in my writings. However, I do give a warning that you must be very careful to analyze this: can you "afford" this level of comps - that is, can you spare the money out of your budget to cover even the theoretical loss incurred by playing a negative game. More importantly, do you have a big enough bankroll to ride the roller coaster of the bell curve. Because you will OFTEN be losing a lot more on one trip than the theoretical loss.

Thanks Jean! I knew there had to be a solid reason for your play on
those machines. CP does not yet love me or my address enough to send
any interesting offers but I am working on it.
