All the information in here is great!!!! I am a local and play $ VP. I
have been doing it for about 6 months now and almost have the triple
bonus down pat. My question which I am sure someone can help me with.
How do you figure the math out when seeing how much percentage wise it
adds to the overall payback? I go to the Pioneer every time they have
3x points days and play the triple bonus. So I am hoping the overall
payback is close to 100.00 when you figure in the triple points. Also
I do know the new director coming in for he Aquarius. He also ran the
Stratosphere. I can assure you and quote me on this. There will be
lots of high percentage payback machines in all denominations as there
is in the Stratosphere. I cannot wait. I want to find a full pay Kings
or better triple bonus machine!!!!!! Take care everyone and get out
and vote!!!!

I have almost exausted my quota of posts this month to this forum. But the
Pioneer is a fine place to play for low rollers like me, so I will run down the
VP promos for August.

First, the basic cashback and comps can easily be figured out on the fine
Acres slot card system they use. There is a countdown on the reader for the
points, which you should be able to figure out that it takes $4 per point for VP
and $2 point for slots.

The comp account does not work in real-time, but re-insertion does update the
$ amount. So it is 1/12% in regular cashback and 1/4% for comps. Three
thousand points gets you $10 in cashback. This has not changed for ten years.
This three thousand point threshold is also important for new members since you
qualify for the two night/sun-thurs Getaway comped hotel nights.

But for the last year or so there have been plenty of 3X points/comps
sessions which gives you .25% cb/.75% comps, a very respectible rate.

In August Pioneer is doing a Card of the Day 125 coin bonus 24/7. Other
months it usually is shorter periods. Your Jacks or Better 9/6 and 125 coin Quad
contributes 5.9% (Winpoker) to the ER. Divide by 13 and you get .45%. This
is what I use for the value since Pioneer does indeed use all 13 different
cards over time.

The Hot Seat promo is another favorite of the Pioneer. Anyone playing and
keeping their bezel green is qualified. A rack of silver is presented to a
random computer selection. I usually count 40 active players at the first
drawing, so that is worth $2.50 per drawing. Twice an hour is five bucks. At 400
hands ( $500 coin-in) of quarter VP/hour means it is worth 1%.

You can even milk this one if your time is not valuable. You can easily play
only 20 minutes an hour at about 6 hands/minute to keep the bezel green.
Play two machines to double the edge. I don't, but folks can.

Bronxboy- Are you saying you are playing a dollar 10/7/4 Triple Bonus? Not
the 11/7/4 quarter game? If you need a rush in dollars learn and play the
Triple Deuces in the Gamemakers. Sassy Sue's River bartops 8-coin dollar 3-way
progressives also can be a good play. This is Jacks 9/6, with the progressive
reset on the royal, SF and Any Quad resets at the 5 coin level. Short coiners
run this play up past normal Jacks at least 25% of the time. Sassy Sue comps
drinks for anyone dropping that silver, even a coin at a time.

I hope you do the free Pioneer tourneys on Wed-Friday.

Hello and good day:). Thank you for the insight. I do play the triple
at Pioneer and at RP. I play dollars for the profit not for the fun.
I started this venture about 6 months ago after reading all about Bob
Dancer. I have purchased the programs and yes i do know there are a
few better games out there. I did play the 10/7 db as well for awhile.
I must say and this is the truth I am way ahead and attribute that to
the programs I have purchased and learned from. I do play on 3x
points nights which is incredible. I try to take advantage of EVERY
SINGLE freebie they throw at me. I have not ventured into the other
casinos to even see if they have the triple bonus. I perhaps should. I
know that RP had the 50 cent triple with the full pay scale but that is
long gone now. I am hoping that when the Aquarius puts in the machines
they will have a few of the triple bonus machines in there. Sometime
let me know when you play or where and we could chit chat for a bit.
Thank you again for the insight of the Poioneers cashback etc.
Discipline is key

What time does the hot seat promotion start? This may be a case where
the early bird does catch the worm. This hot seat promotion reminded me
of a similar promotion that a Carson City smallish casino was running.
I was there a cold midweek winter night, and they were advertising a
hot seat late night promotion. Every 30 minutes from 12 AM to 2 AM they
would select a playing gambler to spin the wheel for cash. The place
was just about empty when the first name was draw....it was me! I went
over and spun the wheel for $20 cash. As I wandered back to my machine,
I walked around the casino, and counted only 4 players, and one of them
was getting ready to leave. I figured I had a chance to run the table
on this promotion. About 10 minutes before the next name was drawn, I
counted only one other "player", as the usual local drunks at the bar
did not count. The employees outnumbered the customers. When the time
came and went, I checked with the gal that was running the promotion,
and she said the promotion was canceled. Too bad! Oh, earlier in the
evening I also entered their $250 VP tournament (free entry). There
were only 6 people playing in the tournament, and I was surprised they
went through with it.. Sadly, I could not hit a thing, and actually
ended up out of the money.
