Was it only 7 yrs ago I stood under the valet parking roof and watched the
fireworks shoot off from about 20 feet above my head? Come to think of it,
wasn't that a little to close to have people standing? It was awesome anyhow.
They mention cake... I remember getting a wedge of white cake in the buffet. It
would have made a good door stop it was so stale. But I'm remembering 7 yrs
ago.
Speaking of fire hazards. Did the Beach nightclub close because of fire
safety concerns? A friend who is a retired Chicago fire station commander said
the second floor was a firetrap.
