Terrible's Decline

Looks like 2X cashback days are gone. I saw no mention in the current
Terrible's magazine and the sign has been removed at the slot club.
The magazine does indicated points used as slot play will be worth
0.25% instead of 0.2% starting January 10th. I suspect this is to ease
the pain of a hushed cashback elimination.

The new rules posted for the Double Royals Promotion state that it only
applies the 1c-25c denominations. No reduced bonus for higher
denominations anymore.

Maybe not decline but a move...the casino sent me some freeplay with
my spring room offer for a first time of 50, which is new. Now maybe
I reached a higher tier in the system with my .25 play, I dont know.
Look in the monthly coupon book for 2x?

As a sideline the Terribles out in Primm transition seems to be going
headstrong, new machines, wiring and the like are being installed to
switch over to Terribles system. Nothing playable last I saw but
changes happening, offers same, reduced to 12 days free a month from
16 and slot tourney and freeplay cashback the same.

I can confirm all of the below. Glad I got my $6000 royal last month!

I did manage to get double cash back on Tuesday January 1, but she must not have got the memo, since another guy refused to honor it (even though the sign in the players card center was still up!) on Wednesday.

Another sign of decline, contrary to the current listings here on vpFREE: Terrible's appears to have no more 9/6 Jacks machines, and the lack of any 9/7 DB machines in the 1c-25c range (there is still 9/7 DB at $1-$5, but you can't get double royals for that anymore, so now it's never good enough).

All this means there NO playable VP at Terribles any more AT ALL. Can anyone dispute this?

Thanks,

Dave

Yes a trip to mailbox reveals the current 3 month magazine for
Terribles and announcement inside of tiered players club coming soon,
with levels Platinum 100,000 , Gold 50,000 , Silver 500. Per every 6
months...Join club and get $5 Freeplay and Tshirt or hat.

So 2008 brings throwaway of old coupon books and new cards....

I remember back in 2001 and early 2002 after Terribles in LV first
opened there were pros who actually lived there for months on comped
rooms, comped food, comped gas, free drinks, merchandise, and sometimes
a heck of a lot of cash playing the daylights out of 17/10 LD. The
only problem was dealing with the horrendous lines at the slot club.
Quarter 17/10 LD was still available there when I moved to Vegas in May
2002, though soon they were slowed down and eventually removed. That
was the last 17/10 LD in quarters I know of.

Are you saying that you checked all of the 9/6 JoB in the DataBase
(listed below) and they are all MIA?

(4) 5c/10c MG/MD uprights near bar beside hotel registration.

(8) 5c/10c MG/MD uprights in front of main cashier.

(10) 25c/50c/$1 MG/MD uprights second row in front of main cashier.

(2) $5 (SF = 239 - $2 coin-in to earn a point) MG/MD bartops at far
left of bar beside hotel registration.

I can confirm the $1 demonination on this bank is still 9/6 JoB.
Didn't check any of the other listings.

I hope you are right Stu, but I'm having trouble seeing it. Stopped by
tonight to collect a $10 Free Play. I went directly to the 9/6 Jacks
or Better machines near the cage. Nice new stickers stating Point Play
and Bonus Play not available on these machines. I moved to an 8/5
Bonus Poker machine thinking how paranoid it was for them to want to
deny me an ER of 4-cents on my $10 Free Play. Tried to download my
Free Play three times. The first two attempts registered an incorrect
PIN. The third attempt caused my account to be locked out and gave me
a message that I had to got to the dreaded Terrible's Players Club.
There were over thirty people in a line that snaked out past the hotel
registration desk almost to the lounge bar. It had to be at least an
hour wait so I gave up and went home.
