I commented that the pay schedule was by far, the worst, etc.

You are dealt 10 cards, and retain 7 and then it is a 10 play.
The play schedule is 7/5 bonus with 2 pair paying 1. That reduces it
by about 9% (I think)

Elliot,
I thought you were originally implying that you had seen much better pay
tables for the Ten-Seven games somewhere else. Perhaps these are the
best schedules in that case?

  I am not sure where this thread started, but given the way
the hands are dealt, the fact that the game is like 7/5 bonus that
pays 1 for 2 pair is not enough to determine the return. One needs
to know the probability distribution of the different kinds of starting
hands, such as RF with a high pair, RF with a 6th suited card, etc.
Each of these has an easily calculated value. So the overall return
for this game is a sum of the products of the return for each hand type
and the probability of getting dealt that hand type.

  For hands with multiple hand types, the one that is relevant is
the 'best' 7 card hand.

  Since the distribution of hands we wind up with is VASTLY
different than we see on a standard VP game, there is nothing to be
gained by comparing the pay table to one seen on a standard game.

  It makes no more sense to compare these than to compare
standard VP games to VP games from a pinoccle deck. (if one existed)
