After a 40 yr lv of absence I have returned to Reno-LT for the
second visit in 6 months. LV is starting to wear on me with its size
and its raucousness. I admit its me thats getting old. The level of
maturity and service in Reno-LT reminds me of the golden age of
LV.Met lots of people in my age group and it was amemorable
experience. Most note worthy would be my stay at Peppermill. Very
professional pit crews, well staffed at every level. I commented to
a bartender about the great level of service. She explained that
every employee goes through the G.E.T. program. It stands for
greet, eye contact and thank you.She also commented on one of the
owners (Bill---------) who knows every employees first name and how
he walks around mixing and socializing. I can remember when old man
Binion did much the same in Vegas.I mention this because one day a
nice looking older gentleman dressed like he just came off the golf
course joined a conversation between me and the bartender. He was a
very affable and knowledgeable. The bartender starts grimacing and
making strange faces behind this fellows back. I surmise its Bill----
-------. I was wrong. After I mention I.m staying alone, out of the
blue he asks if I would like a couple of girls sent up to the room.
At my age I shock pretty hard but this caught me bye surprise and I
could only stutter I I I I'm married. Most unlikely looking pimp.
Cash, free play, RFB on this trip figures at $6k of freebies. The
Ct.Indians will be seeing much less of me. Sure its a long trip but
time means little. I am in no hurry to get anywhere. Thanks for the
people who post the info on VP and hope this helps anyone who is
contemplating Reno-LT for a vacation.
