Its good to be ahead, like many, Im a much better gambler when
ahead. That night I'm dining in Fridays Station and I can't help but
think of last fall when an amazing sunset and three Manhattens set
me up for a good thrashing. This spring its much different. I'm back
at table 31 again but its snowing out and the lake is a dark shade
of gray, The fir forest is doing a little swing and sway under the
load of snow and wind. Its quite different but still incredibly
beautifiul. The view, the Manhattens and the great bread basket make
a good first impression. Later on I hit the crap tables and buy in
for a thousand. May have lost a few hundred but it passes the might.
The next day I get it in my head that it would be nice to get a
royal on the remaining triple play machine, a real trifecta. I try
again and again for the remaining two days but my luck is gone. I
try four more shots at the tables with small losses each time. The
last day I get very conservative trying to maintain my advantage,
even playing a nickel progressive that is up to $450 for a royal.
Take a walk over to Bills but can't find anything worth playing. Go
over to horizon and play quarter 9/6 J/B. Spend a few hrs breaking
even and then watching a movie. That night I ate at Sage in Harveys
and spent the remainder of the day trying to hit a BP progressive. I
was aware thar VP in LT was not so hot but there are a few playable
games if you look around. The next day I head for Peppermill and
really, its the four days I have beem most anticapatory of. I just
love the place.
