Are you referring to me? If so, I don't know what you are talking about - was this on radio, TV, or ??? I imagine it might be someone who just sounded like me? Or, perhaps something I did a long time ago? I don't remember every interview I have done.
But this does sound like an interesting story. Can you give us the details.

We didn't plan to go clear across the United States to play VP in the cold in November/December, but when we were in Atlantic City "on vacation" a couple of months ago, we did play at Harrah's and Ballys. And you know what happens when the casino sees a "live one" - your mailbox starts filling up with tempting offers from them.
Therefore, with our airfare paid and $1200 to collect, we are going to AC this coming weekend. Plus, we thought this would be a good chance to meet some East Coast frugalites so we are planning an informal get-together for Saturday, Dec. 1st at 4 p.m.
We have no idea how many of you all might be able to attend, so we are going to choose the Eden Lounge at Harrah's as a meeting place at 4 p.m.. Then, depending on how many show up, we will decide where we could go to mingle and chat - perhaps the 7 Star Lounge or Diamond Lounge if there are enough at those levels to take in guests who are not in those levels - or we may have a suite (but don't know that until we check in on Saturday morning). In any case, it will be a pleasure for Brad and me to meet old friends and make new ones.
I will have copies of my new tax book to sign, but if you have old unsigned books, bring them and I will be glad to sign them.
No RSVP's are needed. Just show up at 4 p.m. at Harrah's Eden Lounge!!!!

I don't know what it is about this weekend, it turns out quite a few
people from TripAdvisor's Atlantic City forum will be there this
weekend too. Could it be the 7x points mailer several people have
gotten from Showboat? I'd doubt it but hey, why not, it's as good a
guess as any.
Unfortunately I'm not arriving until about noon on Sunday, but I'd love
to meet any of you guys who come out. Will anyone still be there
Sunday afternoon? Jean, that includes you, my girlfriend would have a
blast if we could meet you guys!
I'm only a Platinum level player (and just barely), and I think she
might have two dozen tier points accumulated throughout this year, so
any impromptu Diamond lounge meetings might be out of the question.
Though I'd love to check out the inside of one someday. 
Next year I
might aim for Diamond but that $100k coin-through exceeds my yearly
salary almost six times over.
