taxation gothcha question for April 15th.

The good news is , 2012 was a banner year for jackpots, but came across this taxation glitch...
I have more than 30 W2-G's in this years' taxes, and because of this Turbo Tax tells me I cannot do an EFILE, but must do a snail mail envelope filing. Has anybody heard of this before ?
thanks...Tom

If having 30+ is the problem, summarize and do only one W2-G per casino. I've done that in prior years.

If tax was not withheld, you don't need to enter individual W-2Gs into the
tax program because they are not included with your return (if tax was
withheld, then you include a copy with the return). You can just put the
total under "other gambling winnings" or enter one W-2G for the total and
list "various" as the casino. It doesn't matter because the information is
not sent to the IRS, just transferred to line 21.

I knew about this problem for years. You cannot e-file if you have
attachments.

Do you have any other line 21 items in addition to the w2gs? I had problems with w2gs and an nol feeding in to line 21 - IRS forms problem. After talking to an accountant friend they said that the error code language meant it will not get fixed before April 15. The advice I got was either file for extension, mail it in, or if you can legitimately move the nol to another section then you can efile now.
