Tax/Online Gambling

I'm no expert, but it would seem to me that you'd be admitting to
participation in a technically illegal activity.

Many people would argue this point with you (whether internet gambling
is really illegal or not). It certainly is widely believed by the U.S.
population to be illegal, but widely held beliefs don't necessarily
make something so. I think at worst, it is a gray area. If internet
gambling were clearly already against U.S. law, then why do certain
lawmakers keep trying to pass legislation to make it illegal?
