Came from the printers this afternoon and we will start shipping this
weekend. All pre-pub orders should be in the mail by Monday afternoon.
Priority Mail takes 2-3 days, so says the USPS. Media Mail takes 2-9
days, they say, but we find it often is only 4-5. Last day for pre-pub
sale price is Sunday the 25th. Regular price starts Monday.
I have written to several people who gave extensive input for this book
and earned a comped copy. If I missed anyone to whom I had promised a
free copy of this book, please send me your complete name and address!!!
As always, I am depending on all of you here who read the book to let me
know if you find any errors - technical, grammatical, factual. This
will be a book that will have frequent revisions, at least once a year,
to keep it up to date. We will also probably expand it every year. As
I have done for "More Frugal Gambling," I will address in Frugal Fridays
comments, questions, and anything related to this tax book that you want
to send me, to the forums or personally.
This book is not " THE final answer" on gambling and taxes - so don't
expect it to be so. There is no final answer - not even from the
IRS!!!! This is a very complex subject with so much left to
interpretation and depending on "individual circumstances." Marissa and
I just tried to bring up as many issues as we could and then give you as
much information and guidance as we could so you (with your tax
preparer) would be able to make a more educated decision about your
personal tax situation.
