Tattoos - I stand flamed, crispy crittered and apologetic

If I offended some of you, I apologize. Actually some tattoos are very
tasteful and even attractive. Single roses or twined upper arm leaves can be quite
attractive. Others appear to be a body mutilation in my book....like the whole
back on a young, beautiful girl, both arms full length on guys this is not
attractive to me. Facial tattoo things like MikeTyson has...yuck. Being a
certified old fogie, and old fashioned to boot, I do not care for tattoos or
weird piercings. I am not into pain personally. I have several grandaughters
who have tattoos, piercings and who knows what else. I am not a happy camper
about this. I feel they did this to shock and defy their parents and horrify
Grandma....moi. I think they may someday regret it, but what do I know. Shirl

Although I enjoy the excuse to closely examine a rose tattooed on the
top of a young female breast while commenting favorably on the
artist's handiwork, I mostly have to agree with you by saying in a
right world the words "nice tattoo" would never be heard outside of
prison.

Fads come and go. If you really want to see something scary, just
look at a photograph of many of us from thirty-five years ago.

"To each their own". However, when our daughter left the college
campus and entered the corporate world of Waterhouse and other
brokerage firms, she was somewhat embarassed about her tatoos. They
didn't exactly fit the image of a young up-and-coming stock analyst.
She spent maga-bucks getting them removed but was not 100%; you can
still see the "shadow" of where they were.
