i have learned that the taos mountain casino in taos, N.M. is 100% smoke free. Does anyone know the quality of the video poker there and the cash back/comps of their slot club to see if it is playable? 8/5 bonus with a good slot club offering good cash and comps would be 100% to me, of course anything better would be great. If they have at least the above, any local transit info from the nearest Amtrak Station or airport used by WN or HP would also be helpful.

Hi Pesach:
I haven't been to TMC so I can't tell you about the VP inventory.
Taos is a beautiful if inconvenient destination (I lived there for
all of 1983). The closest airport served by the carriers you
mention is Albuquerque, 135 miles away. Most people traveling to
Taos rent cars in Albuquerque. Amtrak serves Albuquerque and Lamy
(south of Santa Fe), but only on their SW Chief which runs Chicago-
LA. There are commuter airlines that serve Taos off and on, but
it's a struggle for them to stay in business.
Cashback and comps are not going to be what you are used to if you
play in Nevada. NM state law and gaming compacts are very
restrictive about what casinos are allowed to offer their players
and it ends up not adding much to the value of your play.
I'll be interested to read postings by anyone who has played at
TMC. The casinos around Albuquerque have severely reduced their
playable inventories in the last year.
