Tampa Hard Rock

How bad is bad? =-visiting Tampa over Tksgvng and looking to just spend
some time. Do they have blackjack? I know it is the "bingo" based
games, just wondering what the VP pahytables are? Thanks!

The Tampa Hard Rock does have 9/6 JOB paytables but it is Class II gaming so it is a nonrandom deal.

The paytable will not help you determine the long-term expected payout.

Bingo based means that which cards you actually choose on the video
poker screen has no bearing on whether you win or lose, the results
are predetermined by an electronic bingo screen that is above the
video poker screen. There is also a sign stating that the video
poker screen is for entertainment only, that the pays are determined
by bingo game. Therefore you could be dealt a royal flush, throw it
away and another royal flush would replace it.

It is nothing more than a glorified slot machine. As far as I know
the paytables are set to 83% payback or so. There are better ways to
lose your money.

Almost all Class II jurisdictions have "competitive" paytables. Most machines return in the 88 - 94% range although some isolated casinos may be in the low 80's as you suggest.

I would agree that the Tampa Hard Rock machines pay in the low 80%
range. I know first hand since I live in Clearwater and have visited
the Tampa casino many times. The pay tables are set to the lowest
possible since there is NO competition in town other than the dog
tracks and horse racing (which have no slots). Spend your money at
Disney and forget about Florida casino gambling...it is the lowest of
the low (and it is run by drunk injuns).

I personally saw one of these machines opened at the Hard Rock
Hollywood in Broward County due to a problem with the cashout ticket
and it clearly stated on the initial screen when opened something to
the effect "Set Payback 83%" along with some other not so
interesting statistics.

The paytable will not help you determine the long-term expected

payout.

I know that the governor of Fla.was mandated by the Feds to reach
agreement with the Indian casinos in re: to them getting Class III (
Vegas Style i.e. random)machines within a short time period or else
the Fed was going to give them the right anyway thereby causing the
state to lose millions in tax revenue. This was in response to the
Indians pending lawsuit due to Broward County having several class III
state run gaming casinos/racinos. Does anyone know the results ?
