This is correct. The Casino Queen in Illinois does have 25 cent 9-7 DB but
their $1 10-7 DB has shorted the four of a kind and SF to 239.

Liz, I'm sorry I started the whole thing. This is what happens when
one foolishly gives advice on a subject on which one has VERY
limited
knowledge. As I mentioned in the previous post, I only played at
the Casino Queen a few times, an hour or so at a time, on the
QUARTER bank of 9/7 DB. This bank pays 250 coins on quads/SF. I
noticed the 1.00 DB bank (which was so crowded, with players waiting
their turn for a machine) that I only glanced at the pay schedule,
saw it was 10/7, and ASSUMED it was full pay. We all know what
happens when we assume thimgs. It was careless of me and I
apologize. I wouldn't play it with short-pay on the quads/SF. Take
the advice of others who play there often.

No need for apology, I appreciate all the advice. It's my first trip to St. Louis & New Orleans. So, I'm excited!
I Always check out the pay tables before I play anyway, one never knows when they may have been changed in the "still of the night" lol.

Liz, the $1 DB at the queen is one of the best machines available, IMO
the queen is not a great place to play (ie.. small,smokie,...) the
President (across the river in STL) has I believe 4 $1 AA machines and
it is a little roomier, but the only 2 'nice' casino's are on the
western side of STL, Harrahs which has only 1 of the same $1 DB
machines and a $1 NSUD and a $1 DDB 10-6, they surprisingly are not
extremely busy most of the time, and Ameristar has no 'always good'
machines, although if you watch, they have several progressive banks
that offer opportunities from time to time. I go there and check and
walk right out at least 50% of the time.

Thanks for the info Jim. Much appreciated. We are going to S.L mainly for Tom's business. He has an Ace show there in the convention center, so we are staying on the bus route for the show. We chose "Drury Plaza", hope it's nice. Our plan was to Taxi out to Harrah's & other casino's with good vp in the evenings & on the extra 2days we took at the end of the show. Is that realistic?

The Drury is very close to the convention center, also close to the
President and the Queen. Harrahs and Ameristar are about 15 or so
miles west of there, so I am guessing about a $20 taxi ride. If you
know All American then the President may suit your needs, I really
dont know if they have any other games that are playable there, I live
about 15 miles west of Harrahs and Ameristar, so I dont go downtown
much if I dont need to.
