I knew I had read that somewhere! It figures that Jean would be pointing
this out. My own experience is that switching games should be cause for taking a
break, or at least slowing down the pace after the switch, if only for a few
minutes.
We used to switch between the NSUD progressives at Motor City, and the 9/7 DB
progressives at MGM Detroit (the Motor City play is gone now). Even with the
half-hour between, figuring in travel and parking, I'd catch myself doing
airhead things like keeping both pair in the 9/7 DB when one pair is Aces, after
playing NSUD (where holding both pair is correct).

I have addressed this question in the past and I emphasize it very strongly
in my upcoming VP book. You are NOT alone. I believe one of the reasons so
many recreational players are losing, even if they are doing 100%+ plays, is
that they switch games too often and their accuracy % goes way down.Even with 16 years of VP experience, Brad and I have to be VERY careful,
especially when we switch to a game we haven't played for awhile. I suggest
people practice some on VP software before they go back to an "old" game. If that
isn't possible, you can do as we do: play together, only on one machine for
a few minutes to "get into the mindset" of the new game. You need to stay very concentrated - or you will unconsciously hold 2
unsuited high cards on a deuce game if you have been playing JoB!!!!
