It's my understanding that shuffling after the deal was added when a small
group of guys figured out how to determine, with reasonable accuracy, which
cards were waiting to appear on the draw. I'm fairly certain of the story,
although the specific details are lost in the fog of my memory.

deals; but on the newer ones, the RNG also operated on the draw --
thereby increasing the shuffle. If this is true, this tells me that
the engineers felt this subject of randomness was an important enough
