how do you approach it when losing on a given

I believe firmly in the null hypothesis (mathematical theory which says that
the next event has the same probability structure as the current one) and I
generally don't change machines. However, I've been known to shrug and move
on occasion. Math and superstition have to come to grips and it's an
individual choice.
