Just wanted to share some personal results for some of the newer folks.
During the past year I had a stretch with 5 royals in 35,750 hands.
Currently, I'm at 90,000 and counting without one.
Swings
I'll add to that.
Last year I had no royals over 225,000 hands on 25c single line and
3-play.
This year I had 3 royals in 27,000 hands.

Here's some more on swings. This is combined results (with slight
rounding) from my wife and I on triple/five play, counting each line as
a hand.
Oct04-Mar05: 146000 hands, zero royals
Mar05-Oct05: 335000 hands, 13 royals
Oct05-present: 119000 hands, zero royals

since you would have also been ahead at these junctures. But if you did continue through the 5th one, I think you'd be even more "addicted" to winning by then.
