Sushi in Vegas at Buffets and other places.

Some friends want to go for sushi and others want to go for a buffet. Can anybody let me know if there is some kind of compromise in between like a buffet that has a good selection of sushi so that everybody is happy?

Most buffets have a poor sushi selection. Even seafood buffets like at
the Rio have only a handful of sushi choices.

How about all you can eat sushi? My favorite is Sushi Mon in
Henderson. You can choose any and all you'd like from a wide variety
of sushi, appetizers, and dinner plates like teriyaki chicken or
steak. Not really a buffet, but you can sample a lot and aren't stuck
with only sushi.

Some friends want to go for sushi and others want to go for a

buffet. Can anybody let me know if there is some kind of compromise
in between like a buffet that has a good selection of sushi so that

Silverton has a great buffet that always has sushi.
I'm not a raw fish guy, but it seems there is a good
variety, and it tastes okay to me, or at least as good
any any other raw fich I've hd..(-;

There's a sushi, seafood and oriental buffet, Todai, in the Miracle
Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. For those who don't want seafood,
there are dishes like beef teriyaki, chicken stir-frys, sweet and sour
pork, etc. Big selection of sushi as well as desserts and salads.

We found "buy one, get one free" coupons in the 24/7 booklet and good
for either lunch or dinner.

There is a similarly run place called
Makino's in the downtown outlet center.

Not the best quality at either place, IMHO,
but then again price is also not high per
piece either.

Bellagio --- will satisfy both sides and the miso (sp???) soup and noodles are great. Really any of the Strip major hotels have decent sushi at their buffets but Bellagio is a cut above (my opinion).

Todai ------ has great sushi (more varieties than Bellagio) and Chinese/Japanese hot dishes.

Oh how I wish Yahoo had spell check . :frowning:

I'll second Todai. Good sushi, and plenty of it.

An under-rated buffet with sushi IMHO is at the Fremont on Sun, Tues,
Fri. They are seafood nights and there are excellent split cold crab
legs, plenty of varieties of shrimp (cold peeled, cajun peel and eat,
hot scampi) and fresh-made sushi. The options other than fish are not
fantastic, but serviceable and it is only around $18. A comp is pretty
easy if you have about $2000 cash through within 24 hours. They
usually have plenty of fresh melon and decent salads too.
