Surprise

I'm not surprised that the Eastside Cannery would do something special for
the Governor of California!

This morning, Mr. Total Recall left the machine he'd been playing at the
Eastside Cannery without bothering to cash out the voucher. When he thought
of it several minutes later, the money was, of course, no longer there.

He contacted a slot supervisor, Bob Del Rio, who checked his computer and
stated that the ticket had been redeemed at a kiosk

Instead of the expected, "sorry, too late (with the implied) you idiot",
Bob said to please wait.

He contacted security, who viewed their tape, identified the thief, found
him still on property and interviewed him.

The money was returned after being recovered from the villain (who was
trespassed from the property).

It is a pleasure to report that casino personnel expended such an effort
on behalf of a player.

PS: After spending so much time and energy, they politely, but firmly,
declined to accept any gratuity

Today my wife recieved a birthday card from HET with a great gift inside. ONE free buffet at Harrahs New Orleans.

Too bad for her. HET NOLA has absolutely the worst buffet of any property we have ever eaten at. The absolutely best HET buffet was in St Louis. Maybe she could trade up??

Agree 100% with assessments of both buffets. What's really embarrassing is that NOLA is one of the great restaurant cities of the world, and that's their buffet? They should be ashamed. They're giving away those buffets now, earn 20 RCs, stick your card in the machine for 30 min, and voila! free buffet.

STL is very good, but it's better when they have more choices instead of the crappy crab legs. Rio's seafood buffet is excellent, too but again, it's mostly seafood.

While I'm here, it would be nice if those KC folks could get something decent to play closer to home. They've worn out their welcome in a few Harrahs locations already, and NOLA is pretty much over with unless you're a high roller, and I mean high roller. I'm mean, aren't all of you guys playing the same bankroll anyway?

By the way....St Louis buffets are not only awesome but are free to 7 Stars and any one friend with them 7 days a week anytime of day. My wife and I are both 7 so we always grab two people from the end of the long line and treat them.

Since the HET NOLA buffet is the pits, this was Harrah's idea
of a GOOD birthday gift. Had they given her TWO awful buffets,
that would have been a slap in the face! {{<:
