SuperTimes Pay question

It was my understanding that on Super Times Pay VP machines the
frequency and distribution of the multiplier were preset to hit about 1
in 14 deals with and average multiplier of around 4.

Since casinos can change the pay tables on each machine, it seems to me
that they might very well be able to change the frequency and
distributions of the multipliers. Is this the case?

I've played this type of machine in several locations. But today at
Belterra I spent many hours on one machine and played at various
denominations (25 cents to a dollar). I also varied between 3, 5, and
10 play. I did not track the hands and frequency of multipliers, but
certainly left with a distinct sense that it occurred more frequently
at a 3 play dollar level than at a 10 play 25 cent level (they also
have different pay schedules). Granted, this is only one sample
session, but it did raise the question.

I assume the same question could be asked of the free pass frequency on
the Multi-Strike machines.

This information can be found under the help screens on the machine
itself. The multiplier shows up *on average* once in 15 deals, with
an average amount of 4.05. I strongly suspect that these numbers can
NOT be changed by the casinos, but I don't have any special inside
information to back this up.

I would tend to agree with you. The frequency of multipliers at .25
vs. $1 triple play is pretty different. I also noticed that on 0.25
machines the multipliers tend to be higher, for example more 8X than
2X. I don't know if this all evens out, but either one takes your
bank roll pretty quick.
