.28 is approx. correct, the exact answer depends on the actual ev of
the game you are playing. The exact analysis is easy and goes as
follows. The multiplier comes up on average every 15 hands and has an
average value of 4.05, these numbers are posted by the game
manufacturer
Hence for a game like 9/6 JOB ev .995 the ev would be:
[(.995)x 5/6 x 14/15] + [(.995) x 5/6 x 4.05 x 1/15]
simplies to .995 x 90.25/90 = .9978
if you were playing a .97 ev game the addition would be slightly less
than .27 close to .28 but when you're fight over basis points every
little bit counts!
since 90.25/90 greater than 1 you know you are gaining over the non-
super times pay version of whatever game you are playing
also since the multplier acts like a linear operator on the game no
strategy changes are required, as they are for multi-strike...another
advantage to this game...I recommend this game it is a lot of fun if
you can find a decent pay-schedule
The WIzard of Odds and SKip Hughes have already analyzed the game
and have
come up with the conclusion that you add .28 the the Basic EV of
the game.
The best version I know of is the 9/6 jacks at Caesars in Vegas.
Most of the
Super Times Pay machines that I've come across have really bad pay
schedules
and the +.28 don't help much.
